Last weekend I was contracted by Ultra Race Photos to shoot the Santa Hustle 5K Race at Veteran’s Park in Milwaukee. At first I had misgivings about this assignment, as the weather has been really cold, and this park is known as the windiest place in the city of Milwaukee. In fact they hold a kite festival at this park twice a year for that reason.
Fortunately the race was over quickly. By the time I was done I couldn’t feel my legs. Next year I need to invest in some thermal long underwear.
Luckily, shortly into the race the sun came out, and the winds were not too strong. I still had to switch gloves, my cut-off finger gloves were just not cutting it.
