These images were shot during the 2013 Global Stick & Blade Alliance Midwest Regional Stickfighting & Forms Championships held in West Allis, Wisconsin.
This type of sport includes gymnastic-like performances of skill, as well as a variety of sparring formats. Competitors often meet once or twice a year to compete for a chance to place in the National event that happens every other year.
